AnimeniA uses the SPFX system which is a modular roleplaying rules set designed to allow users to create a game system that is as light or crunchy as they desire. AnimeniA is the rules light version and Zen and the Art of Mayhem is designed to be the crunchy version. The modules are designed to add detail where it is desired so any module put out for the SPFX system can be used as needed.
